BIO

POUYAN SHIRZADI

I am Pouyan Shirzadi, and welcome to my portfolio. I am a 21 year old Business Administration student at Wilfrid Laurier University Lazaridis School of Business. I am going into my 4th year and pursuing a specialization in Marketing and a double minor in Film Production and North American Studies. 

I was born in Tehran, Iran and lived there until the age of 9, until my family immigrated to Toronto, Canada. I grew a passion for art and design as a way to express myself to my surroundings as my English wasn't good. It started with a video editing on Windows Movie Maker and using a camcorder my family owned, and slowly moved to being a self taught Adobe Suite, Final Cut, Motion, and Logic user. Over time my English improved and eventually I started projects and ventures such as the Next Photography Network, The Court Podcast, and Brand Named Clothing. 

Nowadays, I am undergoing self projects improving my Illustration and Animation, whilst working with Laurier Marketing Association as the Vice President of Marketing. At LMA I am in charge of designing the marketing campaigns for its many events, motivating managers in my portfolio, in addition to innovating the LMA brand. ​

I am looking to expand and improve my skills, and will be providing a video production service to artists, musicians, and athletes in the Greater Toronto Area.
